A protective Tape & Reel (TR) package is used to protect the magnetic switch against damage. For safety reasons, magnetic switches are packaged in 4-SMD, Flat Leads packages. Good performance is achieved by magnetic switches that can supply 230μA as maximum current. Magnet switches should have a maximum current of 2mA in order to function correctly.
