In order to protect the magnetic switch from damage, it is packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR) enclosure. A safety precaution is taken by putting the magnetic switches into 4-SSIP packages. For good performance, magnetic switches can supply 7.5mA as their maximum current. Magnet switches should have a maximum current of 85mA in order to function correctly.
