The LM74610QDGKRQ1 is a controller that can be used in reverse polarity protection circuits with an N-Channel MOSFET. When connected in series with a power supply, the LM74610QDGKRQ1 is meant to drive an external MOSFET to imitate an ideal diode rectifier. This method has the distinct advantage of not being grounded and so having Zero Iq.
In the event of reverse polarity, the LM74610QDGKRQ1 controller offers a gate drive for an external N-Channel MOSFET and a quick reaction internal comparator to discharge the MOSFET Gate.
