Photodiodes are enclosed in Bulk to prevent damage. Photodiodes are packaged in TO-233AA, TO-8-3 Lens Top Metal Can packages in order to ensure their safety. As long as the photodiodes are operated in reverse- bias mode continuously, their maximum voltage is 30V. Continuously, the reverse-bias voltage should not exceed 30V for the photodiodes. Without light, a photodiode has 5nA current.
