In order to prevent damage, these photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk. It is necessary to enclose the photodiodes in TO-233AA, TO-8-3 Lens Top Metal Can packages for safety purposes. A photodiode can withstand a maximum voltage of 75V if it is continuously reverse-biased. The voltage for the photodiodes should not exceed 75V in reverse-bias mode on a continual basis. The photodiode operates at 200pA current even in the absence of light input.
