To protect these photodiodes from damage, the Tape & Reel (TR) is used. For safety reasons, the photodiodes are packaged in 0805 (2012 Metric) packages. Continuously reverse-biasing photodiodes can withstand 20V voltage. It is important that the reverse-bias voltage of the photodiodes do not exceed 20V continuously. Pins 2 are present on the photodiodes. Without light, a photodiode has 5nA current.
