BPW34FA Overview

Photodiodes are enclosed in Bulk to prevent damage. In order to ensure safety, the photodiodes are packaged in 2-DIP (0.213, 5.40mm) packages. Continually operating in reverse-bias mode, a photodiode's maximum voltage is 16V. It is recommended that the photodiodes are maintained at a constant voltage of 16V in reverse-bias mode. Pins 2 are present on the photodiodes. A circuit made up of photodiodes could release heat 150mW. It is recommended that photodiodes be operated at a temperature of 100°C. The minimum operating temperature for the photodiodes, however, should be set to -40°C. It is recommended that the reverse anode voltage on the photodiodes be 32V. A circuit should experience a maximum heat release of 150mW when photodiodes are used. In the DC circuit, the photodiodes can function properly with a reverse voltage of 16V. For a photodiode to operate, a voltage of 1.3V is required. Without light input, a photodiode will produce 2nA current.
