The BQ24780SRUYT is a high-efficiency, synchronous battery charger with a low component count for multi-chemistry battery charging applications that are space-constrained.
The hybrid power boost mode is supported by the BQ24780SRUYT (previously called "turbo boost mode"). When the system's power demand is temporarily higher than the adapter's maximum power level, it allows the battery to discharge energy to the system. As a result, the adapter does not crash.
For autonomous system power source selection, the BQ24780SRUYT uses two charge pumps to operate N-channel MOSFETs (ACFET, RBFET, and BATFET) individually.
