DRV8871DDA  Description

DRV8871 equipment is a brushed DC motor driver suitable for printers, household appliances, industrial equipment and other small machines. Two logic inputs control the Hbridge driver, which consists of four N-channel MOSFET, which can control the motor in both directions and the peak current is up to 3.6 Mel A. By selecting the current attenuation mode, the input can be PWM to control the speed of the motor. Setting both inputs to low will enter low power hibernation mode. DRV8871 devices have advanced current regulation circuits that do not use analog reference voltage sources or external detection resistors. This novel solution uses a standard low-cost, low-power resistor to set the current threshold. The ability to limit current to a known level can significantly reduce the system power requirements and volume capacitance required to maintain a stable voltage, especially under motor start-up and stall conditions.
