FAN5333BSX Description

The FAN5333BSX is a high efficiency, high current serial LED Driver with 30V integrated switch. The FAN5333BSX is a general-purpose LED driver that features fixed-frequency mode operation and an integrated FET switch. Because of its high output power, this device is useful for driving flash LEDs in serial connections. This gadget is intended to run at high switching frequencies in order to reduce switching noise detected at the battery terminal of portable communications equipment. Quiescent current is kept to a minimum in both normal and shutdown modes to extend battery life. A logic level shutdown circuitry can select normal or shutdown mode. The integrated N-channel switch's low on-resistance assures excellent efficiency and low power dissipation. A cycle-by-cycle current limit circuit limits the switch's peak current below an usual value of 1.5A.
