FDMF3170 emerges as a member of smart power stage (SPS) modules with integrated current and temperature monitors, which are optimized for driver and MOSFET dynamic performance, system parasitic reduction, and power MOSFET RDS(ON). The real-time module current can be reported based on its output signal (IMON) which can be used to replace inductor DCR current sense or resistor sense methods. Moreover, an integrated temperature monitor (TMON) is provided.
