FPF2700MPX  Description

 

The AccuPower FPF270X series is a series of current-limiting load switches that provide comprehensive protection for the system and load from excessive current conditions. The minimum current limit is between 0.4A and 2.0A. The FPF270X includes a conversion-rate-controlled N-channel MOSFET and conversion-rated on-to prevent power bus interference caused by "hot-swappable" loads or instantaneous overload requirements. The input voltage ranges from 2.8V to 36V. The load can be activated or deactivated through pin-compatible low-voltage logic. Fault conditions can be monitored using error flag pins and / or power supply-good pins. Each member of the FPF270X series provides a class of load-fault responses. All devices clamp the load current so that it does not exceed the current level of external programming. The over-temperature function can provide further device protection in the case of high power consumption. Fpf2700 responds to overload situations where the duration exceeds a fixed blanking period by turning off loading and then retrying after the auto-restart time. For overload cases whose duration exceeds a fixed blanking period, FPF2701 responds by latching the load. The load will remain off unless the pin is turned on or the input voltage is cycled through the UVLO. FPF2702 is used for external fault management. Similar to FPF2700 and FPF2701, it sets the fault signal pin to a low level when activating current clamp. The device is suitable for applications where external fault management and FPF2702 coordinate overload response. The FFP 270X is available in energy-saving, lead-free, halogen-free, 8-lead, MLP3x3 mm and SO8 packages.
