HSDL-5400 Overview
To prevent damage, the photodiodes are packaged in a Bulk. It is necessary to enclose the photodiodes in 2-SMD, Flat Lead packages for safety purposes. When the photodiodes are reverse-biased, the voltage should never exceed 40V. There are 2 pins on the photodiodes. During a circuit, the photodiodes could release 150mW heat. Anode voltage for the reverse anode of the photodiodes should be 40V. It is necessary to apply a voltage of 800mV in order to get current flowing across a photodiode. Reverse-bias photodiodes can provide 40V voltages. A photodiode is capable of conducting 1nA current even without light input.
