HSDL-5420#1L1 Overview
It is important to note that these photodiodes are packaged in Bulk to prevent damage. To ensure safety, photodiodes are put into 2-SMD, Flat Lead packages. A continuous voltage of 40V should not be applied to the photodiodes in reverse-bias mode. Photodiodes have a pin count of 2. There was the possibility that photodiodes in a circuit would emit 150mW heat. A reverse anode voltage of 40V should be applied to the photodiodes. It is generally recommended that the maximum heat released by photodiodes should be 150mW in a circuit. Using reverse voltage of 40V in the DC circuit may allow the photodiodes to function properly. In order for current to flow across a photodiode, the voltage must be 800mV. Despite the absence of light, photodiodes make 1nA current.
