This harley voltage regulator utilizes the Tape & Reel (TR) package for optimized performance. A voltage regulator consists of 7 terminations. There are two types of analog ICs in this voltage regulator 12v: SWITCHING REGULATOR ICs, which are the ones used in older voltage regulator 12vs. For space-saving purposes, this voltage regulator is available in the TO-263-7 Thin package. There are 1 outputs configured on the voltage regulator. As you can see, this DC DC switching regulator generates Fixed output on its output pins. As the name implies, this voltage regulator 12v is designed for mounting on a Surface Mount bracket.
