LM311 Description


Single high-speed voltage comparators are the LM111, LM211, and LM311. The LM311 is designed to operate from a wide range of power supply voltages, including 15-V operational amplifier supplies and 5-V logic system supplies. Most TTL and MOS circuits are compatible with the output levels. These comparators can drive lamps or relays and switch voltages as high as 50 V at 50 mA. System ground can be isolated from all inputs and outputs. The outputs can power loads that are grounded, VCC+, or VCC. The outputs can be wire-OR coupled and offset balancing and strobe capabilities are offered. Regardless of the differential input, if the strobe is low, the output is off.
