LM334Z Description

The LM334Z/NOPB is a three terminal adjustable current source in 3 pin TO92 package. It features 10000:1 range in operating current, excellent current regulation and wide dynamic voltage range of 1V to 40V. Current is established with one external resistor and no other parts are required. Initial current accuracy is ±3%. The LM334Z is a true floating current source device without a separate power supply connection. In addition, reverse applied voltages of up to 20V will draw only a few dozen micro amperes of current allowing the devices to act as both rectifier and current source in AC applications. Typical applications include bias networks, surge protection, low power reference, ramp generation, LED driver and temperature sensing.
