The LM339M is a four-way comparator with low power consumption and low bias voltage. All four comparators have a bias voltage specification as low as 2 mV. The comparator is specially designed to operate by a single power supply over a wide voltage range. It is also possible to operate from a separate power supply, and the low power supply current consumption has nothing to do with the supply voltage. The comparator also has a unique characteristic that the input common-mode voltage range includes ground, even if it is operated under a single power supply voltage. The LMx39-N series is designed to directly interface with TTL and CMOS. When using both positive and negative power supplies, these devices are connected directly to the MOS logic-the low power consumption of the LM339 has a significant advantage over the standard comparator.
