The LM358AN is made up of two independent, high gain, internal frequency adjusted operational amplifiers that were designed to operate across a wide variety of voltages from a single power source. It is also possible to operate from split power supplies, and the low power supply current drain is unaffected by the amount of the power supply voltage. Transducer amplifiers, dc gain blocks, and all traditional op-amp circuits are among the applications that may now be implemented more simply in single power supply systems. The LM158 series, for example, may run directly from the common 3.3-V power supply voltage used in digital systems, providing all of the essential interface devices without the need for additional 15V power supplies.
