M358D Description
The LM358D is made up of two independent, high-gain, internally frequency-compensated op-amps that are specifically designed to work over a wide variety of voltages from a single power source. The magnitude of the power supply voltage has no bearing on the low-power supply drain.
Transducer amplifiers, DC gain blocks, and all traditional op-amp circuits are among the applications that may now be implemented more simply in single power supply systems. These circuits, for example, can be powered directly from the 5 V supply used in logic systems, and will easily provide the essential interface electronics without the need for additional power.
Even though just a single power source is used, the input common-mode voltage range includes ground, and the output voltage can also swing to ground in linear mode.
LM358D Features
? Frequency compensation implemented internally
? Large DC voltage gain: 100 dB
? Wide bandwidth (unity gain): 1.1 MHz (temperature compensated)
? Very low supply current per channel essentially independent of supply voltage
? Low input bias current: 20 nA (temperature compensated)
? Low input offset voltage: 2 mV
? Low input offset current: 2 nA
? Input common-mode voltage range includes negative rails
? Differential input voltage range equal to the power supply voltage
? Large output voltage swing 0 V to (VCC+ - 1.5 V)
LM358D Applications
? Two internally compensated op amps
? Removes the necessity of dual supplies
? Permits direct sensing close to GND & VOUT
? Well-suited with all methods of logic
? Power drains appropriate for the operation of the battery
