The MSP430F6638IPZR is a 16-bit ultra-low-power Mixed-signal Microcontroller that has a strong 16-bit RISC MSP430 CPU, 16-bit registers, and constant generators to help with code efficiency. The architecture, in conjunction with five low-power modes, is designed to maximize battery life. The digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) enables the rapid transition from low-power to active modes in less than 3s (typical). Four 16-bit timers, a 12-bit A/D converter, two universal serial communication interfaces (USCIs), a six-channel internal DMA, a 12-channel comparator, a 32-bit hardware multiplier, and 74 general-purpose I/O pins are included in the MSP430F6638IPZR configuration. The MSP430F6638IPZR has a maximum operating frequency of 20MHz and a low supply voltage range of 1.8 to 3.6V.
