OPF792 Overview
In order to protect these photodiodes from damage, they are packaged in the Bulk. For safety reasons, the photodiodes are packaged in Module packages. A photodiode can withstand a maximum voltage of 50V if it is continuously reverse-biased. Reverse-bias photodiodes should not be operated above 50V permanently. There are 3 pins on the photodiodes. During operation of a photodiode, the temperature should not exceed 85°C. But the minimum operating temperature for the photodiodes should be set to -40°C. ?Photodiodes in reverse-bias mode could supply voltages of 50V. A photodiode is capable of conducting 500pA current even without light input.
