PD438B/L1 Overview

Photodiodes are enclosed in Bulk to prevent damage. To ensure safety, photodiodes are put into TO-226-2, TO-92-2 Long Body packages. When the photodiodes are reverse-biased, the voltage should never exceed 170V. A photodiode has a pin number of 2. A circuit containing photodiodes might release 150mW heat. The reverse anode voltage for the photodiodes should be 32V. Despite the absence of light input, a photodiode generates 5nA electrical current.
