PD438C Overview
It is important to note that these photodiodes are packaged in Bulk to prevent damage. To ensure safety, photodiodes are put into TO-226-2, TO-92-2 Long Body packages. It is recommended that the photodiodes are maintained at a constant voltage of 170V in reverse-bias mode. 2 is the number of pins on the photodiodes. In a circuit, the photodiodes may release 150mW heat. Photodiodes should have a reverse anode voltage of 32V. In general, the maximum heat generated by photodiodes should be 150mW in a circuit. A reverse voltage 32V does not affect the photodiodes in the DC circuit. The current in a photodiode is 5nA even when there is no light input.
