PD638B Overview


Bulk is used to protect the photodiodes from damage. Photodiodes are protected by Radial packages in order to ensure their safety. Continuous reverse-bias means the photodiodes can withstand only 170V voltage. It is recommended to set the reverse-bias mode for the photodiodes to not exceed 170V on a continuous basis. A photodiode has a pin number of 2. The current in a photodiode is 5nA even when there is no light input.
