In order to protect these photodiodes from damage, they are packaged in the Bulk. It is necessary to enclose the photodiodes in Radial, 5mm Dia (T 1 3/4) packages for safety purposes. Photodiodes can only withstand 100V in reverse-bias mode indefinitely. It is recommended to set the reverse-bias mode for the photodiodes to not exceed 100V on a continuous basis. A photodiode conducts 2nA current without light input.
