PDB-C203 Overview
It is important to note that these photodiodes are packaged in Bulk to prevent damage. For safety reasons, the photodiodes are packaged in TO-5 Variant, 4 Leads, Lens Top Metal Can packages. Photodiodes can only withstand 100V in reverse-bias mode indefinitely. When reverse-biased, the photodiodes should not continually exceed 100V. In order for photodiodes to function properly, the breakdown voltage must be 75V. It is possible for a photodiode to produce 500pA even without light input.
