Designed to protect these photodiodes against damage, these photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk. In order to ensure safety, the photodiodes are packaged in TO-206AA, TO-18-3 Metal Can packages. A photodiode can withstand a maximum voltage of 30V when operating in reverse-bias mode continuously. It is recommended to set the reverse-bias mode for the photodiodes to not exceed 30V on a continuous basis. Despite the absence of light, photodiodes make 100pA current.
