SD3421-002 Overview
To protect them from damage, these photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk. For safety reasons, the photodiodes are packaged in TO-46 packages. When reverse-bias is applied continuously, the photodiodes are able to withstand only 75V voltage. Reverse-bias photodiodes should not be operated above 75V permanently. A photodiode has a pin number of 3. When the photodiodes are placed in a circuit, they may produce heat 150mW. A photodiode should not operate at a temperature higher than 125°C. In spite of this, the photodiodes should be operated at a minimum operating temperature of -55°C. An ideal circuit would allow the photodiodes to release a maximum amount of heat in the form of 150mW heat. With reverse voltage of 75V, the photodiodes can work properly. If you want photodiodes to work, you'll need a breakdown voltage of 75V. When no light is input, a photodiode will conduct at 20nA current.
