SDP8276-001 Overview
It is necessary to enclose the photodiodes in Radial packages for safety purposes. Photodiodes can only withstand 50V in reverse-bias mode indefinitely. There are 2 pins on the photodiodes. There was the possibility that photodiodes in a circuit would emit 100mW heat. Photodiode operation should take place at temperatures below 85°C. The minimum operating temperature for the photodiodes, however, should be set to -40°C. For the photodiodes, the reverse anode voltage should be 50V. Generally, the maximum amount of heat released by photodiodes is 100mW. With a reverse voltage of 50V, the photodiodes can work properly in the DC circuit. In the absence of light input, the photodiode exhibits a current of 50nA.
