TL431AQDBZRQ1 Description


The TL431AQDBZRQ1 is a three-pin adjustable shunt regulator that has been tested for thermal stability across a wide range of automotive temperature ranges. With two external resistors, the output voltage can be tuned to any value between VREF (about 2.5 V) and 36 V. (see Figure 28). The output impedance of this device is typically 0.2. In many applications, such as onboard regulation, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supplies, active output circuitry provides a sharp turnon characteristic, making this device an appropriate replacement for Zener diodes.
