The TLV62130RGTR is a simple to use synchronous step-down DC-DC converter designed for high power density applications. By utilizing the DCS-ControlTM topology, a high switching frequency of typically 2.5MHz allows for the use of small inductors and provides a fast transient response as well as high output voltage accuracy. The devices are well-suited for systems powered by Li-Ion or other batteries, as well as 12V intermediate power rails, thanks to their wide operating input voltage range of up to 17V. It can deliver up to 3A of continuous output current at output voltages ranging from 0.9V to 5V. (with 100 percent duty cycle mode). The soft-start pin controls the output voltage startup ramp, allowing operation as a standalone power supply or in tracking configurations. Configuring the Enable and open-drain Power Good pins also allows for power sequencing. The devices display a quiescent current of roughly 19A from VIN in Power Save Mode. If the load is small, Power Save Mode is engaged automatically and seamlessly, ensuring great efficiency throughout the load range. The device is turned off in Shutdown Mode, and the shutdown current consumption is less than 2A. The device is housed in a 3 mm 16-pin QFN package (RGT).
