The TPS22919 device is a small, single-channel load switch with a controllable conversion rate. The device contains an N-channel MOSFET that operates in the input voltage range from 1.6V to 5.5V and supports a maximum continuous current of 1.5A. When powered on for the first time, the smart drop-down function is used to prevent the ON pin from floating until the system sequencing is complete. Once the pin is deliberately pulled up (> VIH), the smart pull-down will be disconnected to prevent unnecessary power loss. The TPS22919 load switch is also self-protective, which means it will protect itself from device output short-circuit events. It also has a thermal shutdown function to prevent any damage caused by overheating. The TPS22919 is in a standard SC-70 package and is characterized by its ability to operate in the node temperature range from-40 °C to 125 °C.
