The TPS92638QPWPRQ1 is an eight-channel PWM dimmable linear LED driver. Its architecture is perfect for driving several strings of LEDs with moderate power. With a total current of up to 70 mA per channel, this device can drive up to eight strings of one to three LEDs apiece. Higher-current drive up to 560 mA can be achieved by connecting the outputs in parallel.
? Control 8 channels with 4-bank PWM dimming
? Detection of open and shorted LEDs with Deglitch
? Fault Pin for Open, Short, and Thermal-Shutdown Failure Reporting, allowing up to 15 devices to be connected in parallel.
? Stop-Current Set Point: Single Resistor
? Tail-Current Set Point: Single Resistor
? Maintaining Junction –40°C to 150°C temperature range
Daytime running light, position light, fog light, rear light, stop or tail light, and interior lighting are examples of LED lighting applications.
