In order to protect the photodiodes against damage, they are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR). For safety reasons, the photodiodes are packaged in 3-SMD, No Lead packages. The maximum voltage the photodiodes can withstand in reverse-bias mode is 32V. When operating in reverse-bias mode, the photodiodes should not exceed 32V. There are 2 pins on the photodiodes. It is possible for a photodiode to produce 1nA even without light input.
